This challenge requires considerable effort and sacrifices and it involves the whole person: from pure biological aspects, such as diet and physical exercise, to inner and spiritual ones. This may be called a holistic approach, but it has nothing to do with alternative medicine or the new age: indeed, the most recent scientific discoveries show that ageing does not mean decay and suffering. However, “training” to take care of ourselves, we will live a hundred years of a full and complete life at the maximum. We can live both longer and better.
